Hilltop Lakes golf news

WGA results for March 9th

The Hilltop ladies had 20 ladies come out to play golf and the game of the Day for the 18-Hole players was "2 Best Ball of 4". The 18- Hole Ladies results were 1st Place Team Shirley Schiamara, Vicky Garrison, Mary Harvey and Ginger O'Brien. Coming in second were Debbie Miller, Nancy Murphy, Shirley Burns and Nancy Verhines. Mary Harvey had the fewest putts with 27. The closest to the pin winners were Joyce Perkins on #3 and #7, Sandy Brodine on #10 and Vicky Garrison on #15. The game of the day for the 9-Hole players was "Even Holes" and the winners were 1st Place - Emma Miller and Vi Dodds (tied) and 2nd Place - Donna Neal. Donna Neal and Emma Miller (tied) for the fewest putts. Next week's game of the day for the 9-Hole and 18-Hole players will be "ACES". Tee Time is 9:00 am and please sign up by noon on March 15th. Reminder - General Meeting for March 16th has been canceled.

MGA results for March 8th

The MGA play days continue to have record turnout as 44 members played on Wednesday, March 8th. The game format was a Four Man Team - One best Ball Net. Coming in first with a score of 50 - Darwin Wallace, Terry Edwards, Sedrick Malone, Jim Thornton, Second Place Team - score of 52 - Floyd Garrison, Hugh Rigsby, Jeff Edwards, George Ransone, Third Place Team - score of 54 - Bill Johnson, David Burns, Mark Falconer, Herschel Huffine and Fourth Place Team - score of 55 - Mark Perkins, Mike McCaslin, Rene Castilla, David Lunceford. The closest to the Creek on # 14 - Steve Brodine, the closest to the Lake on #14 - Mike Savell. The Low Net was Terry Edwards and the Low Gross - Two way tie - Charles Cornelius, George Pawley. The closest to the Pin on the Par 3's were #3 - Floyd Garrison, #7 - Floyd Garrison, #10 - Eldon Woods and #15 - Butch Davenport. A Special thanks to Mike Savell and Jerry Cochran for assisting the golf course crew by cutting down dead and dangerous trees and limbs. Because of Mike and Jerry, the course is safe from dangerous trees and limbs. This adds to the excellent condition that our golf course is in thanks to D.D.Williamson and his crew.
