Paul’s Photo Centerville senior Maygn Harris leads a full life as she balances her faith, academics and sports. Her faith has priority in her life and Maygn is ranked at the top or near the top of her class in academics. She has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and has excelled in basketball, track, softball and volleyball in her four years at Centerville High. As a freshman Magyn ran the third leg on the winning mile relay at State and ran the third leg on the 2nd place 800M relay at State as the Lady Tigers won the State Track Championship in 2A in 2010. She was the point guard on the basketball team that went to the State Semi-finals this year. Magyn also excelled in volleyball and was an outside hitter on the two-time District Champions. Her sport now is softball and she is a pitcher and one of the outstanding hitters on the team. Magyn says her favorite sport is basketball, followed by softball. She qualified for the State Track meet as a sophomore and as a junior her relay team was second at State. She is currently running track as well as pitching for the softball team. Maygn is proud of being chosen as a junior to receive the Bonnie Easterling Award. Some of her favorite subjects are English I Honors, AP English III, Geometry Honors, Spanish II and Spanish III.

Maygn has chosen to attend Texas A&M with a major in biology and after graduation is planning on becoming an anesthesiologist. Maygn is one of the few that has been able to balance her faith, academics and excel in sports. She wears a smile around the campus and will be a success in whatever career she chooses.
