Debra Joy Shaw Dockery
Funeral services for Debra Joy (Shaw) Dockery, age 47, of Fairfield, Texas were held 10 AM, Saturday, July 03, 2010 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Rev. Carl Clark, pastor of the Corinth Baptist Church in Dew and Rev. Bo Davis, pastor of the Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew officiated the services. Burial was in the Dew Cemetery.
Debra Joy (Shaw) Dockery was born on February 10, 1963 in Teague, Texas to Samuel David Shaw, Sr. and Frances Joy (Williams) Shaw. She had lived in Fairfield for the past five years, having moved there from Bethany, La. She was a homemaker, and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed flowers, scrapbooking, and was a very good writer. She enjoyed her friendship with her friends. She was saved at a young age at the Flo Baptist Church. Debra passed away June 30, 2010 in Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, Texas.
Surviving family includes father, Samuel David Shaw of Buffalo, Texas; mother, Frances Joy (Williams) Shaw of Buffalo; sons, Robert E. Lee Dockery Jr. and wife, Glenda of Oil City, Louisiana and Benjamin David Dockery of Fairfield, Texas; bothers; Samuel David Shaw, Jr. of Teague, Texas and Danny Glenn Shaw of Buffalo, Texas; sisters, Tammy Helfenbein and husband, Brad of Buffalo, Texas and Donna (Shaw) Zinke and husband, Allen of Buffalo, Texas; grandchildren, Benjamin David Dockery lll and Leslie Rachelle Dockery; numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins, family and friends.
The pallbearers were David Shaw, Jr., Danny Shaw, Andy Shaw, Charlie Shaw, Bobby Dockery, and Benjamin Dockery. The honorary pallbearers were Phil Smith, Chuck Massengale, Jimmy Pate, Kevin Pate, Robert Davis, Tommy Page and Paul Ferguson.
