Artie Noey

Funeral services for Mrs. Artie Noey, 76, were held on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at 3:00p.m. at First Baptist Church in Marquez. Interment followed the services at Winn Cemetery.

Mrs. Noey passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Copper Creek Nursing Home in Buffalo. She was born in Normangee on December 16, 1933. She attended the Crossroads Baptist Church where she married her husband, James Noey on October 7, 1950. Mrs. Noey loved her children, her grandchildren and her great- grandchildren. She was a mother to many people. She loved to fish, to do crafts, loved to play games and do puzzles. Mrs. Noey loved to visit and talk to folks; she would always lend an ear to anybody who needed to talk.

She is survived by her sons, Dinkie Noey & wife Angie of Marquez, Michael Noey of Groesbeck, James Noey & wife Jill of Marquez; her daughter, Vina Broxton & husband Garry of Jewett; 18 grandchildren, Steven, Becky, Kelly, Heather, Justin, Dusty, Mandy, Mike, Alicia, Angela, Shannon, Casey, Michael, Tosh, James, Amber, Sarah and Jake; 30 great-grandchildren; her sister, Selma Noey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Noey; her brothers, Joe Bates, Jim bates and Billy Bates; and her parents, Frank and Vina Bates.
