Graveside services for William David King, 76, were held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Swift Cemetery in Swift, TX. Rev. Philip Kennedy and Darren King officiated.
Visitation was held on Friday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ricks- Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett.
Mr. King passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at his residence near Jewett.
He was born in Nacogdoches on August 8, 1944, but grew up in Houston. He married Arva on October 11, 1969, and shared over fifty one years of marriage together. Mr. King was a quiet and gentle man and was very family oriented. He worked as a carpenter for most of his working years and enjoyed wood working in his spare time. Mr. King was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church in Buffalo.
He is survived by his wife, Arva King of Jewett; three children, Rachel King of Jewett, Darren King & wife Sara of Corsicana, and Audra Louden & husband William of Jewett; eleven grandchildren, Cameron King, Claire King, Charlie King, Kevin King, Ivy King, Blake King, Ava King, Mason King, Dannon King, Gentson King, and Will Louden; one brother, Clyde H. King of Dobbins; other relatives and friends.
Mr. King was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Rene King; and his parents, Clyde & Mary Sue King.
