Funeral services for Teneta Rae Barnett age 60, of Buffalo, Texas were held 2 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Bro. Jack Smith, Jr. officiated the services. Burial was in the Barnett Family Cemetery at the family residence. Walters Buffalo Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Teneta Rae Barnett was born on November 25, 1949 in Sand Flat, Texas to Dave Reagan and Louise Thiele Laningham. She was a lifelong resident of the Flo Community . She was a graduate of Oakwood High School, and she had a Bachelor Of Science Degree in nursing, graduating from Stephen F. Austin. She had a Masters Degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and was working on her Doctorates Degree from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia, She worked in hospitals in Crockett, Huntsville, and nursing homes in Buffalo and Centerville. She also worked as a traveling nurse. She enjoyed horseback riding, camping, fishing, painting, and working on her computer. She was preceded in death by her father, Dave Reagan Laningham; half brother, Dave Laningham; and a brother Max Laningham.

Mrs. Barnett passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 in Buffalo at her residence.

She is survived by her mother, Louise Laningham of Oakwood, Texas; husband, Virgil Wayne Barnett of Buffalo, Texas; sons, Jasper Barnett and wife, Carmen of Lovelady, Texas, William Barnett and wife, Melissa of Oakwood, Texas, and Kristopher Barnett and Shana of Flo, Texas; daughters, Anna Williams and husband, John of China Springs, Texas and Reene Bean and husband, Rodney of Kirvin, Texas; brothers, A.J. Laningham of Etoile, Texas and D.J. Laningham of Huntsville, Texas; sisters, Linda Laningham of Oakwood, Texas and Audrey Chambers of Etoile, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Elizabeth Nicole Sherrill, Randy Jones, Montey Jones, Hope Cheyanne Barnett, Hannah Leigh Barnett, William Barnett, Jr. Melaine Barnett, Kaeley Mae Bean, Tanner Wayne Bean, Yancy Wade Bean, Karlie Diane Barnett, and Hagan Dean Barnett.

The pallbearers were Jasper Barnett, William Barnet, Kristoper Barnett, Randy Jones, Montey Jones and William Barnett, Jr.
