Joe Dixon Worsham, 61, of Teague, TX passed away on April 26, 2016 in Pearland, TX. Joe was born in Houston on January 13, 1955 to Elwood and Kathleen (Price) Worsham. Joe had worked 28 years at Gate Precast in Pearland. Joe was in the U.S. Navy and served as an E3 Airman/Crash and Rescue for four years. Joe enjoyed the game of baseball and also, enjoyed fishing. At one time he was a drummer. Joe was a member of Brookside Baptist Church. He was devoted to his job at Gate Precast.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Kathleen Worsham; sisters, Frances Barr, Helen Halbason and Martha “Bebo” Barr and by a grandmother, Martha “Gee” Price. His surviving family includes his loving wife, Darlene Worsham of Teague; daughter, Julie Jordan and husband, Trampas, of Dew; son, John Hill of Kennard; daughter, Kortney Hill of Teague; sister, Carolyn Lane and husband, Joel, of Sugar Land; mother-in-law, Gwen Metcalf of Teague; sisters in-law, Sondra Ambrose and husband, David, of Teague and Becky Vaulk and husband, Jan, of Friendswood; grandchildren, Jake Hughes, Russell Hughes, Trampas Jordan, Jr., Jaylee Jordan, Cole Hill, Luke Hill and Jacie Hill; great granddaughter,
Madison Deveney and numerous cousins and other relatives.
A memorial funeral service was held at 11 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
