Experts remind Texans to protect children from vehicular heat death
     COLLEGE STATION — With summer temperatures climbing to triple digits, now is a good time to remind Texans of the dangers of children getting heat stroke while left unattended in vehicles, said a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service passenger safety expert.

Mid-East Texas Groundwater Board meeting set for June 26
     The Mid-East Texas Groundwater Conservation District will be conducting a Board Meeting on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. The meeting will begin at 6:00 PM and will be in Fairfield at the Freestone County Courthouse, County Courtroom. This meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.

Kids’ Camp teaches craft skills
     On June 6, 2018 the Leon Extension Education Association (LEEA) in conjunction with the Texas A&M AgriLife Office held their annual Kids’ Camp activity. Each year LEEA has various crafts available for the youth in a summer camp-type activities day. We had 16 participants this year.
