Leon County Sheriff’s Report

At 12:23 PM, Deputy Lance Ucci was dispatched to FM 1119 in Centerville, in reference to some found property. The property was collected and stored at the LCSO. The property turned out to have been stolen from a reported burglary, several days prior.

At 12:56 PM, Deputy Lance Ucci was dispatched to LCSO Lobby, to meet with a complainant wanting to report a forgery. A report was made of this case and forwarded to investigations.

At 6:04 PM, Deputy Kristin Shaw was dispatched to East Main St. in Centerville, in reference to an attempted burglary. A report was made of the incident.

At 6:08 PM, Deputy Robert Kelly was dispatched to Heath St. in Normangee, in reference a harassment complaint. A report was made of the incident and the reporting party was informed to keep records of any further harassment made by the suspect. Deputy Kelly returned to service.

05/31/18

At 7:57 AM, Deputy Tommy Page was contacted via phone by a complainant wanting to make a report in regards to a verbal argument. A report was made of the incident and the call was then cleared.

At 1:25 PM, Deputy Tommy Page was dispatched to LCSO Lobby, in regards to a subject wanting to turn themselves in on a court order. They were then walked around to the jail and booked in, with out incident.

At 9:32 PM, Deputy Chad Hill was dispatched to W. Saint Mary’s in Centerville, in reference to a lost child. The child was reunited with their parents shortly after being found and it seemed to be that the child just wondered off. The call was then cleared.

06/01/18

At 4:31 AM, Deputy Kristin Shaw was dispatched to W. Church St. in Centerville, in reference to suspicious activity. Upon arrival, the property was checked and nothing was found to be out of the ordinary.

At 9:11 AM, Deputy Cody Wood was dispatched to CR 494 in Marquez, in reference to a suspicious activity. A report was made of the incident and the call was then cleared.

At 10:19 AM, Deputy Bud Trammel was dispatched to FM 1618 in Buffalo, in reference to a report of some tractors being left on the side of the road. The tractors were checked out and believed to be used for mowing the roads. The call was then cleared.

At 4:42 PM, Deputy Cody Wood was dispatched to I-45 NB in Centerville, in reference to the report of a gun being pointed at a driver on I-45. The suspect vehicle was stopped and a firearm was found in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and transported to Leon County Jail, without incident.

At 8:29 PM, Deputy Stephen Pate was dispatched to Hwy 7 E. in Centerville, in reference to an alarm. The residence was checked out and was clear. The call was then cleared.

At 10:19 PM, Deputy Stephen Pate was dispatched to CR 321 in Centerville, in reference to an unwanted person. The person was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning on the property and a report was made of the incident.

06/02/18

At 12:47 AM, Sgt. Jimmy Gifford was dispatched to Hwy. 75 S. in Centerville, in reference to a welfare concern. The subject was checked on and then the scene was cleared.

At 11:16 AM, Deputy Bud Trammel was dispatched to FM 1119 in Leona, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. A report was made of possible attempt of cattle theft and this case was forwarded to TSCRA.

At 2:06 PM, Deputy Cody Wood was dispatched to Hwy 7 & Hwy 39 in Marquez, in response to a threat of suicide. The subject was transported to the hospital by EMS for evaluation. Call was then cleared.

At 7:44 PM, Deputy Stephen Pate was asked to contact a subject in regards to a possible runaway. After filing a report on the runaway, Deputy Pate was contacted and informed that the juvenile had returned home. Case was cleared.

At 8:56 PM, Sgt. Jimmy Gifford was dispatched to CR 355 in Buffalo, in reference to a threat of suicide. The subject agreed to meet with MHMR Counselor at the Sheriff’s Office. The subject was evaluated and then sent home. The call was then cleared.

At 10:41 PM, Deputy Stephen Pate was dispatched to S. Commerce St. in Centerville, in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, EMS was on scene and checked out to be alright. The case was then cleared.

06/03/18

At 8:37 AM, Deputy Cody Wood responded to CR 413 and CR 420 in Centerville, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Deputy Wood was assisted by Game Warden O. Henson and Deputy Bud Trammel. Two subjects were found near the vehicle and both were in possession of a controlled substance. Both were arrested and transported to the Leon County Jail, without incident.

At 2:27 PM, Deputy Bud Trammel was dispatched to the Exxon in Centerville, for the report of a hit and run. Upon arrival, it was discovered that someone had hit the vent pipes and caused damage to the business. A report was made of the incident and this case is active.

At 6:56 PM, Deputy Jimmy Gifford was dispatched to N. Commerce St. in Marquez, in reference to the welfare concern. Upon arrival, it was discovered that there was an unwanted person on the property. They were issued a Criminal Trespass Warning from the owner and the call was then cleared.

At 8:19 PM, Deputy Stephen Pate was contacted via phone in regards to a domestic dispute that occurred at Church St. in Normangee. A report was made of the incident but still pending on statement from the complainant.

At 9:48 PM, Sgt. Jimmy Gifford was dispatched to CR 309 in Buffalo, in response to an animal complaint. A report was made of the incident, in case it occurs again.

06/04/18

At 11:14 AM, Deputy Tommy Page was dispatched to CR 495 in Marquez, in reference to an unwanted person. Upon arrival it was discovered that it was a fired employee, who refused to leave the property. The subject was given a courtesy ride to a relative’s house and requested not to return or they would be arrested for trespassing.

At 1:53 PM, Deputy Lance Ucci was contacted in the LCSO Lobby about a report of forgery. A report was made of the incident.

At 2:13 PM, Deputy Lance Ucci was dispatched to FM 39 S. in Normangee, in response to a report of illegal dumping. A report was made and this case was forwarded to investigations.

At 2:17 PM, Deputy Jerry Nichols was dispatched to PR 495 in Marquez, in reference to a report of animal cruelty. The animals were checked on and were being taken care of properly. The call was cleared.

At 2:21 PM, Deputy Tommy Page was dispatched to the tax off in Centerville, in reference to a registration of a stolen vehicle. The stolen vehicle was sold to the subject out of Houston, with no knowledge that it was stolen. The Houston Police Department was notified of the recovery of the vehicle and the case was forwarded to them.

At 3:19 PM, Deputy Jerry Nichols was contacted in regards to a missing mower at FM 542 in Oakwood. Upon speaking with the reporting party, it was discovered that this was a civil issue, but the mower was going to be returned that evening. The call was then cleared.

At 8:24 PM, Deputy Robert Kelly was contacted by dispatch in regards to someone wanting to report a theft that occurred at Hwy 75 N. in Centerville. The reporting party was unable to be gotten a hold of, the case was closed due to lack of contact with complainant.

At 8:50 PM, Deputy Kristin Shaw was dispatched to OSR in Normangee, in reference to an assault. A report was made of the incident.

At 10:49 PM, Deputy Robert Kelly was dispatched to Main Street in Normangee, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the vehicle had ran out of gas and the driver was waiting on a family member. The call was cleared and Deputy Kelly returned to service.

06/05/18

At 10:20 AM, Deputy Tommy Page was requested to call a complainant in regards to a report of a phone scam. A report was made of the incident.

At 2:02 PM, Deputy Jerry Nichols was dispatched to LCSO Lobby for the report of a phone scam. A report was made of the incident.

At 6:06 PM, Deputy Kristin Shaw was contacted in the LCSO Lobby for the report of a threat. A report was made of the incident, this case is active.
