Leon County Sheriff’s Report

At 9:58 AM, Deputy Cody Wood was contacted by phone, regarding a theft at FM 542 in Oakwood. A report was made and this case was forwarded to investigations.

At 10:54 AM, Deputy Bud Trammel was dispatched to Leon County court room to arrest and transport a subject in custody on a court order. One was transported to Leon County jail without incident.

At 3:34 PM, Deputy Bud Trammel was dispatched to PR 1100 in Leona, in reference to a runaway. The juvenile was located and this case was referred to Juvenile Probation.

At 7:34 PM, Deputy Jimmy Gifford was dispatched to LCSO Lobby in reference to a report of an assault. A report was made of the incident and forwarded to investigations.

3/01/18

At 1:09 AM, Deputy Jimmy Gifford assisted Deputy Kristin Shaw and Sgt. Chris Rosales with a traffic stop at HWY 75 south of Centerville. One was transported and booked

in Leon County Jail for Poss. Of Controlled Substance.

At 7:05 AM, Deputy Bud Trammel was contacted about the report of a tailgate being in the road on CR 281. A tag was located on the tailgate, and the owner was contacted of where to located their property. Call was cleared.

At 8:44 PM, Deputy Jimmy Gifford went to North Adkisson St in Jewett, to serve an arrest warrant. One was arrested and transported to Leon County Jail without incident.

At 8:54 PM, Deputy Kristin Shaw was dispatched to PR 4370 in Normangee, in reference to a family disturbance. One was arrested and transported to Leon County Jail.

03/02/18

A8:51 AM, Deputy Tommy Page was contacted by a Madison County deputy about an outstanding warrant for a Leon County citizen. Deputy Tommy Page located the subject and transported them to the Madison County deputy for arrest and transport to their jail. Call was cleared and Deputy Page returned to service.

At 4:27 PM, Deputy Tommy Page was dispatched to CR 498 in Jewett, in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, everything was seemed to be alright and the subject was not a danger to himself or others. Call was cleared.

At 10:29 PM, Deputy Chad Hill was dispatched to FM 1511 in Oakwood, in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arriving, it was discovered that the dispute came from a loose dog running on to a neighboring property. One party was advised not to enter the neighboring property to look for the animal, the dog was unable to be located at the time. 3

03/03/18

At 2:43 AM, Deputy Jonathan Stubblefied was on patrol when he went and checked the weight room at the Inn at Hilltop Lakes in Normangee. It was then that the he observed powder on the floor and equipment, it was determined that criminal mischief had occurred. A report was made of the incident.

At 3:08 AM, Deputy Chad Hill was dispatched to FM 39 N. in Jewett in reference to an unwanted person. One was arrested and transported to Leon County Jail without incident. A Family Advocated was contacted for the victim.

At 11:23 AM, Deputy Jerry Nichols was dispatched to South 3rd Street in Normangee, in reference to a civil standby. Deputy Nichols stayed on sight, without incident and then cleared the call.

At 11:56 AM, Deputy Stephen Dicker was dispatched to the LCSO Lobby in reference to a walk-in complaint about an auto theft. After speaking with the reporting party, it was determined that this was a civil matter and would have to be turned reported to civil court.

At 2:55 PM, Deputy

Stephen Dicker was dispatched to Rogers Street in Normangee, in reference to a theft. A report was made of the incident and was forwarded to investigations.

At 4:29 PM, Deputy Tommy Page was dispatched to CR 362 in Jewett to assist EMS with a medical emergency. The patient was transported to Fairfield Hospital, without incident.

At 4:30 PM, Deputy Jerry Nichols was dispatched to S. Railroad Street in Buffalo, in reference to a family disturbance. Both parties decided to separate for the night, and a Victim’s Advocate was contacted and advised of the situation. Call was cleared and Deputy Nichols returned to service.

At 7:17 PM, Deputy Chad Hill was dispatched to CR 329 in Buffalo, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was determined that charges were not wished to be pressed but one party was warned to stay away from the reporting party or charges would be filed. Call was cleared.

At 8:18 PM, Deputy Robert Kelly was contacted about a walk-in complaint at the LCSO Lobby about a possible reckless driver. This case was forwarded to investigations for a follow up.

3/04/18

At 2:24 AM, Deputy Jonathan Stubblefield was dispatched to Jamaica St. in Hilltop Lakes in reference to a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, the people were unable to be located. Call was cleared

and Deputy Stubblefield returned to service.

At 1:33 PM, Deputy Tommy Page was dispatched to FM 542 in reference to a civil matter. Upon arrival, belongings that were detained were released back to the owners and they were warned to not come back on the residence property without permission. A report was made of the incident.

03/05/18

At 12:41 PM, Deputy Stanley Rodgers was dispatched to the rest stop off HWY 79 outside of Marquez for suspicious activity. Upon arrival and making contacting with the subject, everything was checked out to be alright. The call was cleared and Deputy Rodgers returned to service.

At 2:54 PM, Deputy Bud Trammel was dispatched to CR 123 in Centerville, in reference to a theft complaint. A report was made of the incident.

At 4:02 PM, Deputy Kristin Shaw was dispatched to HWY 79 in between Jewett and Leon High School, in reference to the report of auto theft. A report was made for the stolen vehicle.

At 4:19 PM, Deputy Bud Trammel was dispatched to CR 329 in Buffalo, in reference to an unwanted person. A Criminal Trespass Warning was written.

At 7:04 PM, Deputy Jimmy Gifford was requested in the LCSO Lobby in reference to a harassment complaint. A report was made of the incident and the complainant was advised to keep a log of following

incidents.

At 8:53 PM, Deputy Kristin Shaw and Sgt. Chris Rosales were dispatched to CR 330 in Buffalo, in reference to a call about a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, the driver was found in the vehicle and was arrested and transported to Leon County Jail for Public Intoxication.

03/06/18

At 7:08 AM, Deputy Patricia Simcik was dispatched to Nassau Ln. in Hilltop Lakes, in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival and speaking with the subjects, it was discovered that they were workers who were lost. They were able to figure out the location that they were supposed to be at and they left without incident. Call was cleared.

At 12:32 PM, Deputy Stanley Rodgers was on patrol when he observed a vacant home that was being remodeled with it’s doors wide open. Upon entry, everything seemed to be fine. The front doors were shut and Deputy Rodgers returned to service.

At 7:54 PM, Deputy Jimmy Gifford was dispatched to the Broken Star restaurant in Centerville in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was found and all checked out alright. Call was cleared and Deputy Gifford returned to service.
