Bison suffer loss in their first district game

Westwood has one of the taller teams in the district as they have one player 6'7", another 6'5" and another player 6'4". Several other players are over the 6-foot mark.

The Bison only trailed 12-14 after the first quarter and tied the game at 14 early in the second quarter but the Panthers went on a 17-0 run and the Bison trailed 20-37 at intermission.

The taller Panther squad build a commanding 67-38 lead after three quarters. The Bison scored 19 points in the final quarter but the Panthers scored 18 and the Bison lost 57-85.

The Panthers are in the top 5 in the 3AAA polls and are a favorite to win the district championship. Stats for the game: Jarrett Fishbeck scored 18 points and had 7 rebounds, Ryan Rath scored 15 points and had 1 rebound, Dirk Kilgore scored 9 points and had 3 rebounds, Dawson Adams scored 4 points and had 1 rebound, Jamaul Randle scored 4 points, Eric Beshears scored 3 points, Caleb Ayers scored 2 points and had 2 rebounds, Luis Poras scored 1 point and had 1 rebound, Roberto Garcia scored 1 point.

The Bison host the Buffalo Christmas Shootout on December 28-30 before hosting the Elkhart Elks in a district game on January 2nd.
