Lady Bison split first two district games

The contest against a talented Malakoff team on December 12th resulted in a 48-58 loss. The Lady Bison fell behind 15-22 after the first quarter and trailed 26-38 at halftime. The Lady Bison managed to cut the deficit to 10 as they trailed 37- 47 after three quarters. The teams traded baskets in the final quarter and the Lady Bison were left with a 10 point loss 48- 58. The Lady Bison were down by 15 late in the final quarter but rallied to lose by 10. The Malakoff Lady Tigers are one of the favorites in the district race. The stats for the Lady Bison: Mollie Dittmar scored 27 points and had 7 rebounds, Samantha Pate scored 11 points and had 6 rebounds, A'sia Bradley scored 4 points and had 7 rebounds, Samantha Simpson scored 3 points and had 1 rebound, Kaleigh Rhodes scored 2 points, Melanie McGill had 5 rebounds, Taylor Beshears had 2 rebounds.

Paul’s Photo The Lady Bison hosted the Leon Lady Cougars on December 15th and bounced back from the loss as they won 44-38. The Lady Bison started slowly and trailed 8-10 after the first quarter and trailed 14-20 after the second quarter. The offense of the Lady Bison came alive in the third quarter as they scored 18 points after scoring only 14 in the first two quarters. The Lady Bison defense held the Lady Cougars to 6 points in the third quarter and the Lady Bison led 32-26 entering the final quarter. Each team scored 12 points in the final quarter and the Lady Bison came through with a 44- 38 win and evened their district record at 1-1. The stats for the Lady Bison: Dittmar scored 12 points and had 4 rebounds, Pate scored 12 points and had 5 rebounds, Bradley scored 9 points and had 9 rebounds, Simpson scored 7 points and had 4 rebounds, Rhodes scored 2 points and had 4 rebounds, McGill scored 2 points and had 2 rebounds, Beshears had 2 rebounds.

The Lady Bison travel to Palestine to play Westwood on December 19th before taking a break for the Christmas holidays.
