Richard Meredith Corby, 66, of Oakwood, Texas, died November 13, 2017. After complications of heart surgery.  He was born November 14, 1950, to Meredith Dixon Corby and Alma Martha Beulke Corby in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Houston.  Richard was in the US Navy from 1968- 1971 a Radio Operator. A Vietnam War Veteran.  More...

First, I want to thank every person who had a part in the Veterans Outdoors Weekend and especially Eric Munoz for bring this event to Leon County. The Lady Bison hosted Anderson-Shiro on November 14th and won a squeaker 50-47. The Lady Bison led 13-9 after the first quarter and scored 13 in the second quarter to lead 26-19 at intermission. The Lady Bison continued their good play and led 40-26 during the last part of the third quarter. The Lady Owls began a late rally and the Lady Bison held a 1-point lead 44-43 with a couple of minutes left. More...
