Bison cruise past Anderson-Shiro 41-0

A dominate Buffalo team allowed the Anderson Shiro Owls only ten yards rushing and twenty yards passing as the 9-0 Bison took one more step toward an undefeated season. The victory set up a final season confrontation with 7-2 Hearne in Buffalo on Friday night November 10. The Hearne team went 44-6 against Leon. The Bison victory over Leon was tallied up at 49-10. Hearne is undefeated in district play.

The game against the Owls saw only one score in the first quarter of play. Jamaul Randle ran for seventeen yards and six points with 5:24 remaining in first quarter.

The second quarter was all Buffalo with four scores. Colton Green scored first with a two yard run. Ryan Rath was next on a 71 yard pass completion. James Phillips scored on a ten yard run and Blayne Stauffer scored on a seven yard pass play with one second left in the half. The Bison led at the end of the half 35-0.

The second half saw only one TD. Late in the fourth quarter Alex Chase scored on a two yard run.

Buffalo managed 366 yards rushing in 48 attempts. Colton Green completed six out of ten attempts passing for 138 yards. Those totals gave the Bison 504 total yards for the game. Rath’s single reception for 71 yards made him the leading receiver, followed by Dirk Kilgore who caught two for 48 yards.

James Phillips was the leading rusher for the Bison with 101 yards in 7 attempts and one TD. Green had 14 runs that tallied up to 80 yards and one TD. Alex Chase gained 43 yards and one TD in 11 tries. Chase Thompson rushed twice for 43 yards and Jamaul Randle rushed three times for 38 yards and a TD.

Marshall Jonas and Jordan were outstanding on defense with ten tackles each. Each also had one sack to their credit. Luis Porras and Benito Rivas each racked up seven tackles for the night.
