Lady Bison split two matches

Sherry’s Shots The Lady Bison celebrate a point against the Lady Elks. Sherry’s Shots The Lady Bison were involved in 2 exciting matches as they defeated Frankston in 5 sets 14-25, 25-11, 13-25, 25-23 and 16-14 but lost to Elkhart in five 25-23, 17-25, 20- 25, 25-23 and 11-15.

The match against Frankston was a nail biter as the Lady Bison won the last 2 sets to pull out the win. The match against Elkhart as also very close as the Lady Bison won the fourth set to force a fifth and deciding set. In the 5th set the Lady Bison grabbed a 6-2 edge before falling 11-15. A’sia Bradley had a good match as she blocked several shots and Mollie Dittmar was solid on defense and recorded several kills.

The loss to Elkhart puts the Lady Bison in a 3 way tie for 4th place with Elkhart and Malakoff. The Lady Bison have a bye on Tuesday, October 24th. Elkhart and Malakoff will play on October 24th to wrap up regular district play. The Lady Bison will play the winner between Elkhart and Malakoff. If Elkhart defeats Malakoff the game will likely be played at Palestine High School on October 27th. If Malakoff defeats Elkhart the game possibly will be held at Fairfield or Corsicana on October 27th.
