Buffalo Homecoming King, Queen and Court announced
Homecoming King James Rodell and Homecoming Queen Nadia Garcia
     For the first time, at least in recent history, Buffalo High School crowned a Homecoming King and Queen as well as presented a Royal Court. In the past only a Homecoming Queen has been crowned.  This year's nominees for king were: Benito Rivas, Ryan Rath, James Rodell, Blyne Stauffer and David Alcantar. And the winner is James Rodell!

Bison Belles hold 60th Reunion
     After 12 months of planning the 60th Reunion for Buffalo Bison Belles came off with accolades of praise and glory. According to the first Belle Drum Major Betty Henson Reeder, there were more than 200 formers and fewer than 250 at the luncheon on Saturday at Buffalo High School.

Former Belle of the Week
     Each week, since the beginning of this school year, Bison Belle director Amanda Henson Harter has featured a Former Belle leading up to this week’s 60th Reunion for the Belles. It is fitting that the featured Belle this week is Betty Henson Reeder, who was the Charter Drum Major elected in 1958.

Belle of the Week
     Alexandra Guevara is the daughter of Maria Gonzalez and Jesus Guevara. She is a freshman at BHS and a first year Belle. Alexandra works hard on all routines to do her very best. She says that her favorite part of Belles is learning all of the dances.

Bison take Homecoming win 49-10
Team now 8-0
     The Bison scored early and often last Friday to take the homecoming victory over county rival Leon Cougars 49-10 and secure a playoff spot.  Buffalo struck early with Colton Green getting the TD and Alvaro Sanchez kicking the con- version to make it 7-0 with less than three minutes off the clock.

Bison JV hold on to win against battling Madisonville Mustangs
     The JV got on the board first to get off to a good start but the Mustangs would keep it close, going down in defeat 24-18. It was a night of missed extra points with each team unable to get an extra point to go.

Bison JH teams continue perfect season
     The Bison 7th kept their perfect season intact last week with a 47-0 win over the Leon Cougars. I don’t have all the info on these games but will add them next week. This 7th team has turned in one sided scores all season while giving up only one touchdown. The 8th came away with a win also 38-0 and have not lost a game all year.

Lady Bison split two matches
     The Lady Bison were involved in 2 exciting matches as they defeated Frankston in 5 sets 14-25, 25-11, 13-25, 25-23 and 16-14 but lost to Elkhart in five 25-23, 17-25, 20- 25, 25-23 and 11-15.

Hilltop Lakes Golf News
     October 19, 2017 the Hilltop WGA had 14 ladies come out to play golf. The Game of the Day for the 9-Hole and 18-Hole players was “ACES”.  18-Hole Ladies results: ACE - Marcia Rector shooting Low Net of 61. 1st Low Net - Nancy Murphy, 2nd Low Net - Nancy Verhines, 3rd Low Net - Georgia Gibson, 4th Low Net - Renee Coody,5th Low Net - Shirley Schiamara.

Homecoming Buffalo Bison vs Leon Cougars 49-10
      Colton Green, #2 scored five touchdowns, gained 171 yards rushing in 14 attempts and was 9 of 13 for 88 yards passing.
