     This week the featured former Belles are first cousins, Cindy Mullenax Port and Ruth Henson Rodell.  Cindy Mullenax Port is the daughter of Vallie and Molly Henson Mullenax of Buffalo.

New Belles of the Week
     This week the featured new Belles of the Week are Callie Ray Harter, and Marlene Diaz.  Callie is the daughter of Charlie and Amanda Henson Harter of Buffalo. Callie is a freshman at BHS this year involved in both FFA and FCCLA. Her favorite thing about being a Belle is having the little girls at the games smile, wave, and look up to her and the other Belles.

Bison continue their winning ways against New Waverly 49-13
     With Buffalo leading 21-6 in the first quarter New Waverly scored on an interception with four seconds remaining to bring the score to Bison 21-New Waverly 13. New Waverly failed to score again for the rest of the game.

Rigsby aces hole #15
     Hugh Rigsby scored a HOLE-IN-ONE on number 15. Rigsby obviously won the hole, but also the MGA Special Award for a Hole-In- One. Statisticians have calculated the chance of an average golfer making a hole in one at approximately 12,500 to 1!

Lady Bison extend winning streak to three
     The Lady Bison defeated Elkhart in 4 sets and won against New Waverly to build their confidence as they begin the second round of district play. The district has 7 teams and only the top 4 teams advance to the playoffs. The Lady Bison have a 2-4 record as they host Teague on October 3rd. If the Lady Bison continue to improve they can advance to the playoffs which begin on October 30th.

2017 Bison JV football off to great start
     The Bison JV kicked off the new season in a big way, defeating the Rice Bulldogs JV 42-0 in the first home game of the season. Buffalo deferred to get things going and the defense was big, with an interception on third down but a fourth down gave the ball back to Rice. Again the defense was tough and forced a punt but Eric Beshears returned this punt for the first score of the year.
