Nyanza Price elected to TEEA State Position

Contributed photo Anyone who knows the very busy Nyanza Price, of Oakwood, will not be surprised to learn that she was recently elected to President- Elect of the Texas Extension Education Association (TEEA). The election took place at the Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Price joined the TEEA in 2005 and is the first African American to lead the organization and will take the position in 2018. The first year she will receive training from the current president.

Price has held several positions at the county, district and state levels. Her last position was Second Vice President for Programs for the state. She is a member of the recently reorganized Oakwood Chapter of TEEA and says she has the full support of all the chapters in the county.

Price is an active member of the Leon County Community and believes in lending a helping hand.
