Bison declaw Normangee Panthers
420 yards total offense
     The Normangee Panthers came to town last Friday night and brought a high powered offense along with a defense that had their sights on a victory in Buffalo. The Bison had a different idea and after a hard fought game the Bison prevailed 48-20.

Bison JV start season 2-0
     The Bison JV had to find an opponent last week to have a game because the varsity had Normangee and they did not have a JV team so they traveled to Blooming Grove to take on a talented team and had to battle after a first quarter 0-0 score to take the 19-0 victory.

Lady Bison lose to Teague in first district games
     The Lady Bison lost three games to Teague on Friday afternoon. The scores were: 12-25, 9-25 and 18-25. Jacie Hightower had a good defensive game from the back court. Mollie Dittmar recorded several kills and Kassidy Bell had a good game serving as she hit many good low and hard serves that were difficult to be returned.

Stampede Horseshoe Tournament drawing champions
     The Tri-County Horseshoe Club will be hosting its annual Buffalo Stampede Horseshoe Tournament on Sept. 15/16/17. There will be a doubles tournament on Friday night and the singles tournament will be on Sat. and Sunday. There will be horseshoe pitchers from Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama, New York, Louisiana, and of course TEXAS participating in the tournament.

     September 7, 2017, The Hilltop WGA had 15 ladies come out to play golf. The Game of the Day for the 18-Hole players was “Blind Hole Tournament (1/2 Hcp)”.

Centerville FFA hosting trap shoot
     The Centerville FFA is hosting its second Trap Shoot on September 16, 2017 at the Madison County Gun & Archery Club in Madisonville, TX. This shoot is intended to help raise funds for the Centerville FFA team to attend different shooting contests during the 2017-2018 school year.
