Hay samples due for 2017 Leon County Hay Show

The Leon County office of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is in the process of planning a Hay Show for September 26. This will be an opportunity for producers to learn about hay production as well as an opportunity for producers to have their hay test for protein and nutrient content.

In order to have the hay tested prior to the September 26 Hay Show, we need producers to turn their hay samples in now. Hay samples can be turned in to the Leon County Extension Office, located on the third floor of Leon County Annex I in Centerville. The cost to have the hay sampled is $5.00 per sample. All samples must be turned in to the Leon County Extension office by September 1 to be entered in the upcoming Hay Show.

More information on the upcoming Hay Show will be coming soon. Any questions about the Hay Show or having their hay tested can be directed to the Leon County Extension office at (903) 536- 2531.
