Leon County goes all out to celebrate the 4th of July

A free fireworks topped off the 4th of July celebration

Nowhere is the patriotic fervor felt by most Texans stronger than it is in Leon County. Never is it expressed stronger than in the annual 4th of July Parade and fireworks show held each year in Centerville. The celebration draws people from all around and results in the largest parade held in Leon County. Early morning rains this year tempered the heat and increased the enjoyment of the participants. The Buffalo Press has provided extensive photo coverage of the event on pages 4 and 5 inside this paper. Photos by Mac Shadix
