It is becoming a Leon County tradition that each Veterans Day Celebration is better than the last one. This year was no exception. County Judge Byron Ryder welcomed the Veterans and a four man honor guard from Ft. Hood posted the colors. One person, Leah Michelle Stevenson, 42 of Buffalo was killed in a three vehicle crash on Hwy 75 Near Centerville at 10:55 on Saturday morning. Stevenson was traveling South on Hwy 75 when she collided with a pickup truck hauling cattle driven by Phillip Watson, 58 of Lovelady. Another pickup driven by Debra Williams, 64 of Buffalo was struck by a tire from the accident.  More...

Funeral services for Earnest Lee Ferguson, Sr, age 94, of the Keechi Community east of Buffalo were held at 2 pm, Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home. Bro. Jack Smith, pastor of the Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood, officiated and burial followed in the Ferguson Family Cemetery in Keechi.  More...

The Bison JV kept their undefeated season in tack as they defeated the Leon Cougars 40-0 on October 13th. The Cougars kicked off and on the first play quarterback Alex Dawson hit Marshall Jonas with a 10 yard pass. Dawson picked up 2 and Roberto Garcia added seven more.
