The City of Buffalo accepted the resignation of City Attorney Gayle Ray effective March 1 according to discussions in the city council meeting on March 28. The subject came up in discussion of the search for a new city attorney. Ray had been involved in discussions reported last month about the new city ordinance regulating the granting of Hotel\Motel Tax funds for local projects.  More...

The Easter Bunny seemed to be everywhere last Friday and Saturday, getting ready for the big day Sunday. Both Buffalo banks hosted the furry creature on Friday as youngsters, dressed in their Easter best, posed for bright colored pictures. Funeral services for Wanda Runelle Peoples, age 91, of Buffalo, Texas, were held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo, Texas. Bro. Alan Grisham officiated at the service and interment followed in the Buffalo Cemetery. The Bison continued their strong play as they defeated New Waverly 6-1 and Westwood 6-0 to up their district record to 5-0 and remain on top of the district.
