Buffalo EE Club plans silent auction


First Baptist Church Buffalo held its 35th Community Thanksgiving Feast on November 18. One of the special attractions was the 3 and 4 year old Preschoolers doing their Turkey Wobble. Mamma's Daddy's Grandma's and Grandpa's proudly watched as Pastor Alan Grisham, posing as a farmer, hunted the shrewd turkeys. Sherry's Shots The Buffalo Extension Education meeting met at Leslie Hensler’s home for the regular November meeting . There were twelve members present and four guests. One of the guest, Kathy Hemby, joined the club.

After everyone enjoyed a delicious covered dish meal, the meeting was called to order by the new president, Leslie Hensler. She asked for ideas, pro and con, to try and improve the club. Some input included to have guest speakers, day trips, adopt new causes and etc.

Guest Barbara Hankins was the lucky winner this month for the basket drawing.

Buffalo EE Club will be in charge of the Silent Auction for the county Christmas party on December 7 at Normangee Methodist Church. The theme will be “Red and Gold Christmas”. Toys and/or gift cards will be brought for children of Leon County.

Our next regular meeting will be December 16 in the home of JoAnn Zapolski. This will be Christmas party time with food, gift exchange and fun.
