Martin Frank Bailey

Martin Frank Bailey was born November 26, 1944 in San Diego, California to William / Anthony Bailey and Martina (Frank) Bailey. Martin grew up in California and for many years, he worked as a salesman of “big trucks” for several dealerships. He was very good at his work. Through the years, he also drove trucks and carried goods across the United States. In addition to this, he always had cows and horses and was a cowboy at heart.

Martin was a Christian by faith and was deeply spiritual. About thirteen years ago, he and his wife, Geri, bought some land between Buffalo and Oakwood just off of State Highway 7 and started their own trucking business. It was a family business with Martin, Geri and some of her children and grandchildren all working. Martin became ill and he passed away at his home near Oakwood on November 5, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Bailey and a step-son, Ray Ford.

Surviving family includes his wife, Geri Gladman of Oakwood; daughter, Brittnay Bailey of San Diego, California; sister, Susie Edwards of Ramona, California; step-son, Charlie Gladman of Ramona, California; step-daughter, Jenay Lee of Oakwood; seven grandchildren and one great grandson.

A memorial service for Martin Bailey will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the “Back to the Bible Church” in Oakwood. Pastor Jimmy Reed will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
