Merdell Longley, 89, of Centerville and formerly of Stamford, passed away on July 9, 2013 in Centerville, TX. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Stamford with Revs. Jacob West and T. C. Melton officiating. Little league baseball has kept many local families plenty busy throughout June and July, and the action ramped up last week play culminated in TTA District Tournaments.
