The Leon County Sheriff’s office is seeking information on two suspects in regard to a burglary of a habitation outside of Jewett, Texas on US 79, that occurred on 6/12/2013. The garage was entered and three ve- hicles were burglarized. The suspects stole several firearms, hunting equipment and credit cards.  More...

The Commissioners Court is very involved in the preparation of the 2013-2014 budget. There will be much work to do before this budget is approved. Our goal, which has been our goal for the last ten years, is to prepare a budget that will not require a tax rate increase.
