Evelyn Conaway Cousins, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother died April 21, 2013 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by friends and family. Evelyn had called Beaumont home since 1948. Evelyn was born on May 3, 1927 to Docia Wilferd (“Winnie”) Conaway and James Edgar (“Ed”) Conaway in Buffalo, Texas.  More...

Buffalo High School was well represented at the Region II 2A Track Meet in Stephenville on April 26-27. The Bison men finished 4th as a team, with two competitors advancing to the State Meet. Tyler Adams will be competing in the 300M Hurdles after taking 2nd with a 40.07 finish. Vester Fulmer took 2nd place in the 200M Dash (22.14) to qualify.  More...
