Another rough week for the Lady Bison
     The Lady Bison finished Round One of their softball season with a loss to Riesel. Round Two began at Buffalo's Harriman Park on Thursday, March 28, with the Lady Bison hosting Teague. The Lady Lions proved to be tougher than ever, with strong pitching and three oveor-thefence home runs, and BHS fell 19-0.

Junior High Lady Bison track update
     Junior High Lady Bison track coach Daryl Skelton reported the following results from their last two meets.  Two weeks ago, in 7th grade action, the Sprint Relay (Kassidy Bell, Ailleen Ramirez, Nadia Garcia and Jasmine Kolb) placed 3rd. The 4x200M Relay (Garcia, Ramirez, Lauren Beshears and Kolb) took 3rd as well.

Tiger Tennis competes at Madisonville, Corsicana
     The Centerville Tigers tennis team traveled to Madisonville and captured third in an eight-team tournament as they tuned up for the upcoming District tournament. In Madisonville Mustang Invitational, host Madisonville finished first, followed by 2nd place Rockdale, and the Tigers took third.

Hilltop Lakes Golf News
     The Hilltop WGA had 16 ladies come out to play golf on a beautiful day and the game of the day for the 18-Hole Ladies was "O-N-ES (1/2 HDCP)". The 18-Hole Ladies results were: 1st Low Net - Shirley Schiamara and 2nd Low Net - Carolyn Tibbitts. Low Putts honors went to Shirley Schiamara with 29 putts.

THSRA Rodeo Wrap-up
     Following the Texas High School Rodeo Association (Region 9) season finale rodeo, held March 23rd in Huntsville, the cowboys and cowgirls stuck around for the annual awards banquet and presentation of buckles, saddles and scholarships.
