Buffalo plays host to Little Dribblers Regional Tournament
     The Little Dribblers Regional Tournament was held last week at Buffalo Junior High School, with games in both the upper and lower gyms on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Fans saw plenty of quality round-ball action, and when all was said and done, nine teams are advancing to the national tournament in April.

BHS men defeat Mildred to even their district record at 2-2
     The Buffalo Bison posted another District win at home on Tuesday, March 19th against Mildred. With freshman Logan Freeman starting on the mound, the Bison took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Logan Jones got on with a walk, stole 2nd and third and scored on a base hit by Kyle Read.

     The BHS varsity men took 5th place as a team at the Centerville Tiger Relays on Thursday, March 21st.

BHS track girls compete at Elkhart
     The Buffalo High School girls track team competed at Elkhart on Thursday. In field events, Marissa Jones took 5th in the triple jump. Sarah Burchfield threw her personal best (14’8”). On the track, BHS’ 4X100 relay (Tionna Adams, Jones, Lauren Helmcamp and Carmen Simpson) took 5th and the same foursome was 4th in the 4x200M relay.

Tigers display talent at their track meet
     The Centerville girls and boys track teams displayed their talents at their own track meet and placed in many events. The girls were 3rd in the team totals with 123 points and the boys were 3rd in the team totals with 99 points. LADY TIGERS RESULTS:

Centerville Tigers look sharp in winning two district games
     The Centerville Tigers are on a roll as they drubbed Onalaska 11-1 and Hempstead 10-0 behind good pitching, timely hitting and a strong defense. The contest against the Onalaska Wildcats on March 18th was halted after 5 innings because of the 10 run rule. Ryan Payne knocked in 2 runs in the 1st inning on a double.

Lady Tigers drop two in softball action
     The Centerville Lady Tigers dropped an extra inning game to Onalaska 9-11 on March 19th and lost to Hempstead 1-13 on March 22nd. The Tigers scored a run in the 1st inning as Maygn Harris walked and later came around to score. The Tigers erupted for 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd on singles by Maygn Harris and Cheyenne Reeves and a double by Kara Jo Har- ris.

     The Leon Lady Cougars tied for 1st place with the Franklin Lady Lions as each team gathered 133 points at the Centerville track meet on March 21st.

     Centerville senior Maygn Harris leads a full life as she balances her faith, academics and sports. Her faith has priority in her life and Maygn is ranked at the top or near the top of her class in academics. She has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and has excelled in basketball, track, softball and volleyball in her four years at Centerville High.
