Winnie Ethel Ballew was born July 4. 1934 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Her parents were Clifford James and Minnie L. (Christian) Sandlin. Winnie and her husband, John Ballew, moved to Leon County just northwest of Centerville in October 1995. They had been living in Spring, Texas. Winnie was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville for several years.  More...

The Little Dribblers Regional Tournament was held last week at Buffalo Junior High School, with games in both the upper and lower gyms on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
