     For the week ending March 16, 2013, feeder cattle price trends reported by Texas auctions varied from $5 lower per hundredweight (cwt) to $5 higher. Texas direct feeder cattle sales were $1 to $4 lower. The Oklahoma City National Stockyards were mostly $1 to $4 lower. Negative cattle feeding margins and high feed prices continue to pressure prices.

Livestock and sisters just go together
     Two Leon sisters, Kendall and KayDee Honeycutt, enjoy competing and are each showing a pig in the Leon County Livestock Show. In addition, KayDee is showing a quarter horse colt named Tucker. Kendall is a freshman at Leon who played on the State Championship Volleyball team.
