Ashlyn Duck is a Freshman at Oakwood High School. She has lived in Oakwood, just down the road from her grandparents, Curtis and Sue Duck, and gone to OISD her whole life. She is the youngest of three daughters born to Jay and Becky Duck and is following in the footsteps of her two older sisters, Chelsie and Tory who both graduated from Oakwood High School in recent years.  More...
Aaron Lynn Fenoglio, also known as “Buddy Hammer”, age, 55, was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 25, 1957. His parents were Melvin B. and Teresa (Evers) Fenoglio. He was raised in the Catholic faith . Aaron mostly worked as a welder in heavy construction. He and his family moved to Leona in 1990. Aaron was described as a man who helped others without thought for himself.  More...

Here we are about to begin week 10 and almost into the first week of spring. Everywhere I turn there is something else to sabotage my weight loss efforts. This week it was Spring Break and a visit from my two teenage grandsons. So much fun and so much food!
