The Leon County Highway Patrol made two drug seizures on IH-45 in the past week resulting in the confiscation of 116 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of four subjects. About four years ago two structures of the threebuilding apartment complex at 130 Town Street in Centerville were severely damaged by a fire. The buildings were unoccupied and, thankfully, no one was injured but the property had remained in ruins for many months since the fire.  More...
Terry “Paul” Carrington, 84, of Marquez, Texas went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2013 at the Copper Creek Plaza in Buffalo, Texas. Funeral services were held at 11 AM, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Payne, pastor of Ephesus Baptist Church, officiated and burial was in the Marquez City Cemetery.  More...
