Detachment/annexation petition
After 41 years of making phone calls, getting petitions signed and living under a Federal Ruling, members of the Flo community finally got their day in court. Mary E. Abbott was a 40 year resident of Buffalo. She was born December 9, 1923 in Lovelady, Texas to Gus Oliver and Maggie Elizabeth (Jackson) Ross. She was a very active member of her church, the Stewart Memorial Methodist Church in Buffalo. She was involved in the church’s mission program.
