Lonnie Shoop, age 30, was stabbed to death during what has been described as “a wild drinking party” at 615 Lundy Lane in Jewett on 9-21-12. According to witnesses, Shoop was “beating up on” his girlfriend when Timothy Sheridan intervened. The two began to fight and Sheridan allegedly stabbed Shoop in the heart.  More...

The Buffalo City Council met early on Monday, September 24 for a public hearing before finalizing the proposed 2012-13 budget. No residents were present for that hearing, so the Council (minus Councilman Jerry Salazar) simply waited to begin their regularly scheduled meeting at 7:00 p.m. During that meeting they approved the 2012 Budget for the City of Buffalo of $3,190,899.75.  More...

Although the Bison had an open week, the BHS coaching staff arranged a game with Normangee's junior varsity squad.  Fourteen players suited up for BHS so players who had not been seeming much action got plenty of game time on Thursday.Normangee's receiving team returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, but the PAT was denied.
