The Chamber of Commercesponsored Buffalo Stampede held September15 had everything going for it this year. Popular events like the car show and horseshoe pitching contest were well attended. There was a big-name equestistrian group leading the parade. There was new events- -the buffalo-wings-eating contest and a Cheer-Off that pitted local squads in friendly competition.  More...

Bonner Missildine, Jr. 60, of Fairfield, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at his residence. Services were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Suits, II and Pastor Eston (Buddy) Turner officiating. Interment followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery.  More...

The Lady Bison Varsity volleyball team travelled to Palestine on Tuesday to play Westwood again. The Lady Tigers have a considerable size advantage over BHS and had won their first meeting in three straight. On their home court the Lady Tigers were even more confident, and sent the Lady Bison packing quickly with three more straight losses, 25-7 and 25-9.  More...
