Although Oakwood Superintendent Richard Scoggin's contract was renewed and extended through 2015 at the January monthly school board meeting, he has chosen to leave the district before this year's term is up. Following an executive session at the end of Monday evening's BISD school board meeting, Lacy Freeman was formally hired as the district's superintendent, with a threeyear contract. Wheat better than anyone dared hoped in some areas
COLLEGE STATION — Much of Texas wheat looks better than anyone expected a few months ago, said a Texas AgriLife Extension Service agronomist.  “It’s been a very interesting year,” said David Drake, San Angelo. “It started out dry everywhere.
