Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ann Ericson, 86, were held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 2:00p.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Bro. Larry Harrelson officiated. Interment followed the services at Sardis Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday with the family present from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. More...

With only one game under their belt, the young Lady Bison softball team started district play on Tuesday, hosting the Lady Eagles of Mildred. Buffalo fell hard to the more experienced team, losing 19- 0. On the plus side, starting pitcher Taylor Rutledge enjoyed her first strikeout of the young season and relief pitcher Shelby Ballard threw two strikeouts in her first outing.  More...
