A Palestine man lost his life in a big rig rollover accident on Highway 79 last Tuesday morning, February 28. James H. Yarbrough Sr. (66) was southbound on Hwy 79 between Jewett and Marquez in a 2005 Peterbilt tractor/trailer hauling oil field equipment. Lee Judson Davis, 93, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, passed away on February 27, 2012 in Fairfield. Services were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. It is so wonderful to see the green grass and ponds overflowing with water. The rains are a gift from God and I am so thankful we received our share after the drought the entire state has suffered through.
