Van’Go’photo Buffalo’s Hannah Laningham wins this battle for a rebound in the JV contest between BHS and Leon on Friday. Van’Go’photo The junior varsity girls were well-matched and had an exciting game when Leon came to Buffalo on Friday afternoon, January 26. Buffalo led 7-3 after one, but Leon had closed to within one at halftime. The contest was tied going into the final quarter and it was still anyone's game in the final minute of play. LHS' Maci Reimer hit her third trey, and Buffalo trailed 15-18 in the final seconds. Hannah Laningham tried a three-pointer at the buzzer that would have tied the game, but she did not connect and the Lady Cougars took the win.

Reimer led all scorers with 10 points. Danielle Coulter added a bucket, Courtney Nogaard nailed 2 free throws and Kaitlyn Badell tacked on one.

For BHS, Carmen Simpson led the offense with 7 points, followed by Laningham with 6 and Shelby Ballard with 2.
