     Gordon (Uncle Junior) Abney, Jr. 87, of Fairfield, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at his residence. Services and burial will be in Fultondale, Alabama under the direction of Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Cedar Grove RV Park in Fairfield. Local arrangements were by Capps Memorial Chapel.

Dwayne Word, pastor of Chapel of the Hills Assembly of God Church in Centerville, and Bro. Dean Ferguson, pastor of First Baptist Church in Centerville, officiated the service. Interment was in the Centerville Cemetery.
