Buffalo Police Report
Lance Pavelka Cpl Mata located a stranded motorist who was out of fuel. Officer provided courtesy ride to fuel station and back so motorist could continue to destination.
Cpl Mata to Highway 164 for report of livestock in the roadway. Upon arrival, officer was unable to locate.
Cpl Mata to Commerce Street for minor crash. Upon arrival, officer made contact with drivers and found only a scratch on one of the vehicles so blue forms were issued.
Cpl Mata to Highway 164 and IH 45 for assault. Upon arrival, officer made contact with complainant who advised while he was transporting his daughter to Fairfield, they became involved in an altercation and he was injured. Officer located the female passenger, handcuffed her and placed her in his patrol unit for her safety. Legacy EMS arrived to check the complainant for injuries. A LCSO deputy arrived and took over the call.
Cpl Mata at Buffalo PD for report of missing property. Officer met with complainant regarding a meter he had left on his desk in his office having gone missing overnight. Complainant advised others had keys to his office and officer advised him to check with those subjects to see if they had taken his meter by mistake.
Cpl Mata to Avant Street for criminal trespass warning. Upon arrival, officer spoke with complainant regarding her father not being welcome at her home due to recent family violence. Officer located subject and issued him a criminal trespass warning.
Cpl Mata to Michael Avenue for disturbance. Upon arrival, officer made contact with complainant regarding threats made to her by suspect whom she had threatened in return. Officer spoke with both parties and advised them for future reference to contact the PD to file a complaint not take matters into their own hands.
Cpl Mata to IH 45 for report of subject on roadway. Upon arrival, officer located subject walking who advised he was trying to catch a ride to Fairfield. Officer provided courtesy ride to Dew. C p l Mata to Highway 79 for truck passing in a no pass zone. Upon arrival, officer located vehicle described but did not observe any violations. No other action was taken.
Cpl Mata to Commerce Street for report of assault. Upon arrival, officer was unable to locate a complainant. No one at the business location knew of any assault that had taken place.
Cpl Mata at Buffalo PD in reference to a call to Freestone County SO Officer. Officer attempted to return call but it went unanswered.
Cpl Mata to Avant Street for loose livestock. Upon arrival, officer located 4 donkeys. No one was found to claim them and they were impounded until such time that the owner could be located. Update: owner was found and animals recovered.
Cpl Mata to Michael Avenue for disturbance. Upon arrival, officer made contact with the manager and subject who advised that a table had been dropped in the upstairs apartment and the downstairs tenant had called 911 thinking it was a disturbance. No other action was taken.
Cpl Mata to Commerce Street for minor crash. Upon arrival, officer made contact with complainant regarding hitting another vehicle at a business. The complainant advised that the other driver whom he hit was in a rush and left the scene. No damage was noted but he wanted to report that the driver had left the scene.
Cpl Mata to Railroad Street for crash report. Upon arrival, officer made contact with complainant regarding her vehicle being hit earlier in the day. Officer advised her that she should have remained on scene for the investigator. Blue form was issued.
Cpl Mata to City Hall for assistance in contacting Western Union regarding stop payment on a money order paid to the court for a citation.
Cpl Mata was contacted by adult protective services regarding three calls at the same location regarding disturbances.
Cpl Mata to Lanely Road for loose livestock. Upon arrival, officer found goats in the roadway and moved them back onto the property. Officer made contact with owner’s brother who advised the owner was out of state and that he was caring for them.
Cpl Mata to Turtle Creek for loose dogs. Upon arrival, officer made contact with complainant regarding two pit bulldogs running loose trying to attack her horse. Officer made contact with owner who said the animals had gotten loose and that he would place them back on his property.
