Flo Water pipeline project beginning The Flo Water Board of Directors met at Celebration Church for a regularly scheduled meeting on January 26 at 6:00 P.M. With all Directors in attendance they discussed ways to provide mandated service to the Keechi area at affordable costs. General Manager Jim Martin told the board that after delays due to specification changes, the F.M. 1618 Pipeline project was due to get underway immediately. The Board voted to table any decision about the new Weedon well pending finding a use for the water that is just outside TCEQ mandates. Sale for other uses was discussed as was a request for a waiver from TCEQ. The water is just a tiny bit over the allowable for saline content. It tastes fine and any non public user would be glad to have such a good well. An adjustment to a customer account was allowed after the directors were told that the leak came from work done by the Flo Water in the past when moving the meter. Physical evidence on the site backed up the claim and it was allowed. Corporation member Mary Foucheux, who has long been active in Flo Water, was appointed Election Auditor for the upcoming Corporation elections in April. A long delayed revision of the Bylaws was approved for inclusion on the April Ballot. Copies of the bylaws are available at the Flo Water offices and should be posted online soon. The Texas Rural Water Association Annual Meeting Procedure was also adopted. |
