LCCC recognizes Jalapeno Mexican Grill

The Leon County Community Coalition has been working for several years to partner with local retailers for the Safe Sale of Alcohol. The importance of keeping alcohol out of the hands of minors is paramount. To this end, the Coalition has recently added another retailer to the list of establishments who have committed to being vigilant in their effort to ensure the safety of Leon County youth by continuing to prevent sales to minors and not selling to persons who may be purchasing for minors. Jalapeno Mexican Grill in Marquez has signed a collaborative agreement with the Coalition. They have agreed to support our efforts in implementing environmental strategies and require every employee to maintain server/seller training through the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Owners Modesto Muniz and Anna M. Garcia are to be commended for their community mindedness and responsible alcohol sales.
