Kirby McNair completes Military Basic Training


Kirby McNair Kirby McNair Kirby McNair completed 81/2 weeks of Air Force Basic Military Training (BMT) on January 6, 2012. Kirby is a 2009 graduate of Buffalo High School. During his BMT Kirby was assigned to be one of the 4 Element Leaders of his Flight in charge of not only performing his required tasks and duties to become an Airman in the U. S Air Force but to oversee that the eleven airmen in his Element were performing and completing their obligations towards graduating from BMT. Kirby is currently assigned to Fort Leonard Wood Army Base, Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri for Tech School. Kirby is being trained by the Army Corp of Engineers in the operation of Heavy Equipment. Upon completion of 4 months of training and graduation from Tech School Kirby will be assigned to the Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach Florida.

BMT Deputy Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mark D. Delvecchio and 324 TRS Training Superintendent, Senior Master Sergeant David J. Milne recognizes Week Group 12007 most physically fit male Airman, AB McNair, Kirby G., from the 321st Training Squadron, flight 072. AB McNair proved himself amongst his peers by exceeding BMT’s rigorous physical fitness requirements on his fitness assessment in all areas; run, push-ups and sit-ups. He completed the 1.5 mile run in 8 minutes, 15 seconds in addition to 64 sit-ups and 69 push-ups for an overall score of 100.00.
