Leon Cougars JV boys win two to bring their district record to 5-1

The Leon Cougars JV boys defeated Mildred 32-23 and Eustace 37-26 to bring their season record to 13-4 and district mark to 5-1. The Cougars came out strong against Mildred and had a 13-3 lead after the first period and built a 23-10 lead at half time. The Cougars hit 8-22 from the free throw line. The Cougars traveled to Eustace on January 20th and posted another win 37-26. Again Coach Cody Gore’s team came out firing and built a solid 25-9 lead at half time and 35-16 in the third quarter before winning 37-26. The Cougars were 13- 16 from the free throw line for the first three quarters.
