The Trinity Lady Tigers proved no match for Centerville as CHS led 14-5 after one period and 31-9 at half time. Coach Crafton played everyone but the points kept coming in bunches and Centerville won 57-23. Kayla Brewer had a superb game, posting 20 points, 4 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Madison Taylor also played very well as she tossed in 14 points, 1 assist, 5 steals and 2 blocks. Candace West led the Tigers in rebounding as she pulled down eight.

CHS had another blowout game as they cruised by Onalaska on January 13. The Tigers led 25-4 after the first period and the lead ballooned to 43-10 at half time. Again Crafton played everyone but the Tigers still scored 32 points in the third and fourth quarters and won decisively, 75-17. Brewer led the way with another outstanding game scoring 22 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 steals. Taylor also had a solid game as she netted 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists.

The Tigers hosted New Waverly on January 17th and this game was more competitive. CHS led 18-9 after the first period and 33-19 at half time. A very unusual play occurred in the second period as Brewer drove in for a layup the ball bounced around for a few seconds and balanced on the goal without dropping through or rolling off. The referees called time out and went to the sideline to retrieve another ball to knock the game ball down. New Waverly was awarded the ball and threw it in from the sideline. The Tiger gym must be perfectly built for the ball to balance on the goal. The play had little bearing on the game as the Tigers scored 16 points in the third period and 17 in the final quarter to win easily, 66-41. Brewer was hot again as she scored 18 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Point guard Maygn Harris directed the Tiger offense and tossed in 12 points also. West controlled the boards as she hauled down 11 rebounds.

At Groveton on January 20 CHS opened fast and grabbed an 18-4 lead in the first quarter that grew to 45-15 at haltime. They shut out their opponent in the third period and cruised on to win 72-24. Coach Crafton substituted freely throughout the game and several ladies had impressive games including Fallon Parnell (20 points), Padgett (10), and Taylor (10). West hauled down 7 rebounds and Brewer grabbed 4 boards. Harris had a good all-around game as she directed the Tiger offense and had 4 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals.

The Tigers have a season record of 23-3 and are 8-0 in district. They host Crockett on January 24th and travel to Anderson-Shiro on January 27th.
