Centerville seniors unload as they prepare to witness the Texas 10th Court of Appeals in action in Leon County. Bus loads of students from Centerville and Leon schools and many attorneys and officials filled the Leon County District Courtroom Monday morning January 23rd to witness what is thought to be the first session of the 10th Court of Appeals to hold session in Leon County. Chief Justice Tom Gray and Justices Al Scoggins and Rex Davis brought their courtroom to the county at the invitation of District Clerk Diane Oden Davis. The Court holds educational sessions such as this on occasion when they are invited to do so.

The day-long session featured relaxed rules that allowed attorneys to face the audience at times and explain and present parts of their cases. Photographs are not allowed once argument begins, but were allowed to document the educational session before the actual business of the court begins.
