The Leon County Commissioners’ Court held its regular meeting on February 10, 2011 in the Leon County Annex I Courtroom. The Court was delighted to have Judge Byron Ryder presiding after being absent due to a serious illness. Ella Merle Jackson Hum- phreys passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Triumph Health Care Northwest in Houston. Services were held at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy., on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. She was interred in the adjacent cemetery following her services. COLLEGE STATION — Freezing cold hammered agricultural operations, halting fieldwork, damaging crops and stressing livestock, according to Texas AgriLife Extension Service personnel.
